Dana is an accomplished leader with over 30 years of corporate leadership experience in large and small companies. She has run many functions including data & analytics, sales operations, program management, business operations and consulting operations. She has held chief of staff roles in both sales and technology functions.
Dana loves a big challenge and is tireless in solving them. She has continually taken on new roles to solve big problems. Many times, she stepped into functions that were ‘broken’ to bring them to excellence. This breadth of experience allows her to see challenges from a unique perspective. She sees many ways to solve a problem or to create a new and better way forward. Her approach of using people, process & technology has given her many tools. She sees people as an integral approach to any problem. Bringing others along on the journey is the way to create lasting change.
Dana is currently available as a facilitator for leadership teams who are in the various stages of storming, forming, norming and performing. She is also an executive coach for individuals who are looking for a guide that both nurtures and pushes them to the next level. Dana holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a BS in Business Administration with emphasis on marketing and technology from California State University, East Bay.
Dr. Holcomb is an Accredited Certified Coach as designated by the International Coach Federation. She received her Ph.D. in hospitality education and a M.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management.
Dr. Holcomb served as an Associate Professor with over 16 years of teaching experience. Her previous experience includes over 25 years in the hospitality industry, 20 of those in a management position. Dr Holcomb has held many leadership roles in the hospitality industry, Universities, and associations.
She is DiSC certified, has her own coaching and development business and her coaching specialties include new leaders, career, and leadership coaching. Her training specialties include empathy, guest and customer service, and new leadership.
Dr. Holcomb is a straightforward and witty woman, passionate about helping ambitious professionals excel in their career. Throughout her life, she has learned just how powerful perseverance is in times of adversity and now she helps others push through their own obstacles to take their career to new heights.
Her life was completely changed after a trip to Africa in 2017 where she found a renewed sense of empathy and humility. She believes in applying the principles of gratitude to life every day and is thankful for the opportunity to do what she loves to do.
