Being able to work together is the most important aspect of team performance. A team that takes time to learn about each other’s individual styles – and how to best complement each other - will outperform teams who are more individually focused. We design a one-day workshop for the team to come together and learn to work better together.
We start with a planning meeting with the leader to understand the current situation. Then we administer a style survey (DiSC) for each attendee. Then we interview each attendee about what is going well and what needs to be improved. From the information we gather, we work with the leader to create the agenda for the offsite.
We use a style assessment tool, such as DiSC® (or a tool you use) to provide a standard model for individual styles. Based on the style makeup of the team, our expert facilitators work with your group to understand your team’s culture. We facilitate a team meeting to help everyone understand all the styles as well as their strengths and weaknesses. We teach that all of the styles are valuable, and how they can best work together. Immediately after the style session, the team works together using the new skills they have learned, in the pursuit of a goal. This way they apply their learnings to complete a task, or small project, reinforcing the new way of working together.
This service is designed for leaders who want to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their team. It is great for a newly formed team that wants to move quickly from Forming to Performing – and also for an established team that needs to up its game by working better together. It is especially good for a team that is having difficulty managing conflict or achieving team objectives.
